Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we had the pleasure of being invited to my sister's house for dinner, where she and her significant other went to no small effort to put together a lavish feast. My contribution was purple sweet potato biscuits, sauteed kale, and three-tree-fruit pie (not three pies, three fruits).

Sadly we are a cliche family, and our Thanksgiving could have had its own disfunctional after school special. How tawdry and mundane.

The food, however, was splendid. My little sister fulfilled her decade long ambition to have a tofurky turkey, and there were four kinds of pie. Much to be thankful for. Especially for little sisters like her.
