Savoury sauteed onion Cake -- instead of apple cake, try sauteed onion




Imagine a light and fluffy cake, but instead of sweet, it's savoury. The texture of this cake is delicate, and the taste is sumptuous. Perfect for an elegant brunch or lunch.








ingredients:

2 cups warm water
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar



1/4 cup chia seeds
1/2 cup flax meal
1/4 cup hemp hearts
1 cup shredded coconut

1 tsp sea salt
2 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp marjoram

2 cups almond flour
1/2 tsp baking soda

4 eggs


1 medium onion, chopped and sauteed in coconut oil  (allow to cool before adding if possible)



directions:

1. preheat oven to 345
2. combine the ingredients in the order listed
3. scoop batter into 24 muffin cups
4. bake at 345 for 30 minutes
